Born in Italy in 1967, Kappa is a leading sportswear brand worn by the world’s biggest teams and brightest stars. Born of a sock and underwear company named Maglificio Calzificio Torinese (MCT) in 1916 in the Italian city Turin, opened a new branch stamped with a K, in 1967 the K was formally called Kappa, the Greek letter for K.

MCT and its Kappa brand focused on casual clothing until former employee Marco Boglione returned to the company with a vision for a new category of clothing - "sportswear". The rest is history as the brand moved to produce distinctive slimline apparel for football, basketball, volleyball, autoracing, skiing, sailing, golf, fencing and martial arts. Its streetwear collections reflect its northern Italian roots.
